Due to the pandemic, there has been an unprecedented rise in the use of Telemedicine. However people have mixed opinions on its benefits. Wais Shaifta, former CEO at Push Doctor, was kind enough to answer Cristian Owen's questions about the digitisation of healthcare, and what the future looks like.
Wais has gathered substantial e-commerce expertise from a number of leading online businesses. He is currently a non-executive director for one of the portfolio companies of Revaia, investors in mission-driven businesses. Wais was the Chief Executive Officer of Push Doctor until June 2021, one of the leading digital healthcare companies in Europe, working in partnership with the NHS to connect thousands of patients each week with clinicians. Wais was previously Director of Global Operations at Treatwell, and prior to that was International Operations Director at Just Eat.
Cristian joined Venari Partners in 2019 and is a core member of the Life Sciences & Healthcare practice. Working primarily with the Digital Health industry, Cristian has a keen interest in up and coming medical devices. He believes that new technologies such as robotic surgery, 3-D printing and artificial organs will reshape the industry whilst helping to save lives.
