We are delighted to present our 2025 whitepaper on gender diversity in airline boards in time for International Women's Day.
We at Venari Partners are vocal believers in the power of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) to transform the workplace. As such, we are passionate about sharing this vision with companies across our network – including in aviation and aerospace.
In January 2023, we committed to researching and reporting on the gender diversity gap in aviation boards. Using publicly available information about non-executive directors (NEDs) across some of the world’s leading airlines, we analyse gender diversity statistics to see the latest trends at board level, and to comment more broadly on women’s roles in an industry that has, traditionally, been dominated by men.
We have released our 2025 report to coincide with International Women’s Day: an occasion to celebrate women’s achievements and contributions, and to reflect on what needs to change as we strive towards a more just and equal society and professional world. Attempting to bridge the gender diversity gap at senior level should come from the top – and the board of directors is a logical place from which to start.
